TOWN and Archio Architects have been holding regular co-design workshops with Angel Yard Cohousing to shape the vision for Norfolk’s first cohousing project.

Collaborative workshops, held both in person and online, have provided a platform for the cohousing group members and design team to explore various aspects of the emerging scheme. The group, with TOWN and Archio, have explored options for the layout of homes, elevation design, landscaping proposals and the design of the Common House, thinking carefully about how people will use their homes and fine-tuning the shared spaces to suit the needs of the community.

The design for Angel Yard has emerged through thorough scenario testing and consistent referencing back to the group’s original brief. Decisions have been steered by collective consensus, resulting in a scheme that reflects the community’s aspirations.

A full planning application is currently being prepared for submission in Spring 2022.
