Mike Bodkin, TOWN’s Head of Planning, has been appointed to the judging panel of the RTPI’s Awards for Planning Excellence for 2023.

The RTPI – the Royal Town Planning Institute – is the UK’s Chartered Institute responsible for planning, maintaining professional standards and accrediting planning courses. Its annual awards – now in their 46th year, celebrate the best plans, people and projects over the last year, showcasing excellent practice and projects across the private and public sectors. The event has 15 categories, including plan-making, planning for health and wellbeing, and planning for the natural environment. Entries are nominated at regional level, with regional winners joining the national shortlist.

TOWN’s Marmalade Lane project was in 2020 the winner of the RTPI Silver Jubilee Cup – the overall award winner and the UK’s most prestigious planning award.

The RTPI’s Awards for Planning Excellence awards will take place on 21st November in London.
